A Message from the Rector

Welcome to Saint Anne's Anglican Catholic parish website! Although parishes of the Anglican Catholic Church are located throughout the United States and around the world, we are the first and only parish of the Anglican Catholic Church in southern Maryland. Like the early Christian communities we began as a mission whose coporate worship centers around the celebration of the Holy Eucharist (The Lord's Supper - The Holy Communion- The Mass - The Divine Liturgy). We are a prayer centered parish and it is our desire to grow deeper into prayer and stronger in our witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to share the love of God with those around us and give glory to our Lord Jesus Christ through every aspect of our parish life. We pray continually to be guided by the Holy Spirit and to be sustained in all things receiving the Precious Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus CHrist in our Holy Communion.

Our Parish has been blessed with a wide range of talents. Members of our congregation are encouraged to become active in life, work, and mission of the parish (as well as in the wider Church) acording to their own talents, needs, and capacity.

St. Matthew 5:14 says: "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." It is our desire to share the faith "once delivered to the saints" with those in our community. Our aspiration is to become more like that community on a hilltop described in that verse.

As Queen Elizabeth I wrote in 1563 A.D. - "We and our people - Thanks be to God - follow no novel and strange religions, but that very religion which is ordained by Christ, sanctioned by the primitive and Catholic Church and approved by the consentient mind and voice of the early Fathers."

You are most welcome to worship withh us at 10:00am each Sunday morning as our parish family gathers around the Alter of God for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
